Frequently Asked Questions
Who should participate in the survey?
The survey is open to UK-based organisations of all sizes and sectors that are exploring or implementing generative AI initiatives. We welcome participation from decision-makers involved in strategy, technology, data, operations, or business leadership roles.
How long does the survey take to complete?
The survey typically takes 15-20 minutes to complete. You may save your progress at any time and return to finish later, making it convenient to complete at your own pace.
Is my response confidential?
Yes, absolutely. All responses are treated with strict confidentiality. Your data is anonymised prior to analysis, and all published findings are in aggregate form. We follow k-anonymity principles (minimum N=10) for any grouped reporting to prevent identification of individual organisations.
What do I get in return for participating?
Participants receive early access to the research report before public release, with detailed analysis and recommendations. You will also receive anonymised benchmarking data to compare your GenAI maturity against peer organisations in similar sectors and size bands.
Can I withdraw my response after submitting?
Yes, you may withdraw your participation and request deletion of your data at any time. Simply email us at the contact address provided in the Data & Privacy section. We will delete your data from active systems within 30 days. Note that data incorporated into aggregate analysis cannot be retroactively altered.
What counts as 'in production' for GenAI tools?
'In production' refers to GenAI tools and systems that are actively used in operational business processes, delivering value to end users or customers. This excludes exploratory experiments, proof-of-concept projects, and tools used only by research or development teams without broader organisational deployment.
How will the data be used?
Your data will be used solely for research purposes: conducting analysis on GenAI adoption across UK enterprises, producing aggregate reports and insights, and providing benchmarking comparisons to participants. We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for marketing purposes.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored within the United Kingdom, in compliance with UK data protection regulations. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols, with access restricted to authorised research team members only.
Can multiple people from my organisation participate?
We encourage a single response per organisation to ensure consistent data. If multiple people from your organisation wish to contribute, we recommend coordinating internally to provide a consolidated response.
When will the results be published?
The research report will be published after sufficient data has been collected and analysed. Participants receive early access before public release. Sign up for updates or contact us for information on publication timelines.
How do I know my data is secure?
We implement comprehensive security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, secure access controls, UK-based data storage, regular security audits, and incident response procedures. Our practices comply with UK data protection regulations including the UK GDPR.
Can I see the questions before starting the survey?
You can review the methodology page which outlines the survey domains and types of questions. Once you sign in and start the survey, you can review each section before submitting your responses.
What if I can't answer all the questions?
Only questions marked as required must be answered. If you're unsure about a question, provide your best estimate or select 'not applicable' if available. You can also add comments to provide context for your responses.
How is the research funded?
The research is independently funded to ensure objectivity. We work with supporting organisations to reach participants and validate findings, but the research methodology, data collection, and analysis remain independent.
